Daniel Hughes

Organizer

Daniel Hughes is a gifted speaker, poet, leadership coach, and community organizer. Holding a BA from Bluffton University and an MA from Bowling Green State University, he co-creates and uses his education in communication and organizing for the Future Change Makers Movement.

Born and raised in Northwest Ohio, Daniel is a passionate advocate dedicated to fostering inclusivity and driving positive change through faith, mindfulness, anti-racism, group facilitation, and community organizing. Hughes believes that unleashing the power of unity by bridging gaps and breaking barriers across diverse communities will build a world where acceptance thrives and positive transformation blooms.

Sunia makes the invisible, visible through faith, arts, and equity as a leader, artist, and organizer. She has over 25 years of experience in church and non-profit organizations and has been a small business owner for ten years.

A transracial, transcultural Korean American adoptee, Sunia centers her attention on intersectional belonging with adoptees and minoritized peoples.

 

Emily Huemann Xiong

Affinity Cohort Facilitator

Emily is a Minneapolis/St. Paul-based facilitator. Her work has included social justice education, community organizing, spiritual care, and non-profit communications and development. Emily has been significantly formed by experiences with Center for Equity and Inclusion in Portland, Oregon, Eloheh Indigenous Center For Earth Justice in Yamhill, Oregon, and the #CLOSEmsdf Coalition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These experiences have helped equip Emily to be a guide in white affinity spaces, helping develop white people so they can be effective contributors to efforts led by People of Color.
